Hi! I’m Zoey, a slightly obsessed eco-warrior trapped in the concrete jungle of New York City. Okay, maybe I love a few things about NYC (hidden gem bookstores, anyone?). But the endless trash and mysterious chemicals in every beauty product? That’s where we need an eco-makeover, big time.

A couple of years ago, I got that “Aha!” moment you see in movies – you know, staring at my overflowing bathroom cabinet full of half-used lotions and potions. Was all this really necessary? For my skin? For the planet? Nope. That day, my mission began: finding natural beauty products that actually work, without breaking the bank or destroying the earth.

Spoiler Alert: It’s not always a glamorous, perfectly-packaged journey. Think of me as your slightly messy bun eco guinea pig – trying weird DIY concoctions in my tiny apartment (aloe vera hair mask explosion, anyone?), desperately searching for refillable mascara, and probably ranting about the evils of microbeads, all with a slightly unhinged laugh and a mug of zero-waste herbal tea.

I’m no scientist or total zero-waste goddess. But I’m passionate, curious, and love sharing what I learn (both the victories and the hilarious fails). I figure if just one person swaps their plastic-wrapped face scrub for something better because of my blog, well, that’s a win.

Want in on this natural (and sometimes chaotic) beauty adventure? Join the Nest! You’ll get:

  • Honest, in-depth reviews: No fake perfection here, just real results on eco-friendly skincare, makeup, you name it.
  • Easy DIY recipes: Save money AND save the earth with homemade goodness.
  • Brand watchdogs: Shining a light on companies doing green beauty the right way (and calling out those who aren’t).
  • Tips for a low-waste beauty routine: Because sometimes the best product is the one you don’t buy.
  • A whole community of eco-conscious beauty lovers: Because we’re all stronger (and greener) together!

Let’s ditch the chemicals and embrace the natural side, one slightly imperfect step at a time.

P.S. If you see me frantically buying bamboo toothbrushes in bulk, mind your own business. I’m a work in progress!
